VinGreco was born out of several decades of interest in Greece, its culture and its wine. We believe that Greek wine is one of the rising stars of the wine world, and we do everything we can to make it accessible to people across the Baltics.

But VinGreco is about more than simply buying wine — it is also a journey of discovery. You’ll find information about both well-known and lesser-known indigenous grape varieties, as well as the regions they come from. So whether you’re looking to try something new or deepen your knowledge of Greek wine culture, vingreco.lv is well worth exploring.

Greek winemakers not only work with internationally recognized grape varieties that are well suited to their terroir — such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet and Shiraz — and produce wines capable of holding their own against some of the world’s finest in blind tastings, but in recent decades they have also devoted increasing attention to rediscovering Greece’s indigenous varieties, including Assyrtiko, Malvasia, Vidiano, Xinomavro, Liatiko and Agiorgitiko. These wines have the potential to earn the highest recognition among wine connoisseurs. I would particularly highlight the wine regions of Santorini, Crete, Macedonia and the Peloponnese. And best of all, there is no need to travel far — vingreco.lv is an excellent place to discover the diversity, quality and creativity of Greek wine and its winemakers.
